**Typhoon Warning**

Warning "Tropical Cyclone “VICENTE”" No. 9 Time Issued : July 24, 2012 |

At 07.00 LST on 24 July, making landfall over Guangdong near Hong
Kong, Typhoon “VICENTE” was being downgraded to the tropical cyclone at
10.00 LST. It located at latitude 22.5 degree north, longitude 111.5
degree east, with sustained winds about 110 km/hr.
The cyclone is moving west with speed 20 km/hr and weakens
respectively. It is expected to decline over upper Vietnam today. More
rain occurs with heavy to very heavy in some places based on time as
followings:
- During 24-27, northern provinces of Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Uttaradit, Sukhothai, Tak, Phitsanulok and Phetchabun. - During 24-26, northeastern provinces of Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon and Nakhon Phanom. - During 25-27, Chanthaburi, Trat, Ranong and Phang-nga. People in the lowland near waterways are warned of severe condition and possible flash flood. During 24-27 July, the stronger southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand results in waves 2-3 meters high. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats keep ashore.
