Solo mission to kill Osama

photo :

AN AMERICAN man has been detained in the mountains of Pakistan after local authorities found him carrying a sword, pistol and night-vision goggles on a Rambo-style solo mission to hunt down and kill Osama bin Laden.

Friends and family say construction worker Gary Brooks Faulkner is a devout, good-humoured Christian who often talked about building a porch or framing a house - not taking down the world's most-wanted terrorist. They had few clues to explain his 11,750km journey.

The Kinect

LOS ANGELES--Can someone please tell me why we've spent the last two days rehashing the highlights of E3 2009?

If you were here for last year's video game mega-convention, you will recall that the big news from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo was the true dawn of the motion control wars. Microsoft unveiled Project Natal, Sony showed off its prototype system, and Nintendo pulled back the wraps on some new improvements to the Wii Motion Plus.

All told, these innovations were going to take us to the next level of video game play, where it's all about gesture-based control and traditional button-based controllers became a thing of the past.

Flash forward to this week, though, and the highlights of the press conferences, at least Sony's and Microsoft's, seem someone familiar. Let's recap. At Microsoft's event on Monday, the biggest news was the formal unveiling of Kinect. This, of course, used to be known as Project Natal.

iPad Security Breach

full story at :

Even as the spotlight is firmly focused on Apple’s shiny new iPhone 4, the iPad 3G is making headlines of its own, but for all the wrong reasons. A new security breach has been found that could leave the iPad 3G vulnerable to spam, malicious hacking, and it could also lead to exposing user’s personal data thanks to a gap in AT&T’s security.
photo comes from :
The breach was discovered by the hacker group Goatsee Security, an online group that finds exploitable holes in technology and passes the information on to media outlets to get the word out. In this case, they sent Gawker the details of 114,067 users, all among the earliest of iPad 3G users.

The list includes celebrities like Diane Sawyer, business moguls like film producer Harvey Weinstein and CEO Janet Robinson, as well as political figures Mayor Michael Bloomberg and White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. It also included several high ranking government officials from various branches of the military and the government.

It took a few weeks, but actress Lindsay Lohan found herself in trouble again — this time over the alcohol-detection bracelet a judge ordered her to wear.
According to sources, the device's alarm sounded Sunday, the night Lohan was attending the MTV Movie Awards. It's unclear why the device went off. Typically, the alarm sounds when the bracelet is tampered with or if the person wearing it consumes alcohol.
But it was enough for a Beverly Hills judge to haul prosecutors and Lohan's attorneys into court Wednesday afternoon for a closed session.

Weird Message from Facebook and Facebook's Privacy issues

I've received this weird message in my Facebook's Inbox. I don't know whether it is real or not.

Sorry that I had to send this message. Since Facebook has recently become very popular, has become the many complaints that Facebook has become unacceptably slow. The report shows that the reason is that Facebook has a number of non-active members and, secondly, many new Facebook members. We want to send this message to see whether you're active members or not. If you're aktiviinen, can you send this message to at least 15 users. Use the "Copy - Cut and Paste" to show that you are still active. Those who do not send this message within 2 weeks in, will be removed in order to get more space. Send this message to your friends to show me that you are still active, and do not want to be removed.

And also a few weeks ago, some wall of my friends were attached with porn video without their knowledge. I think it would be better if they allow user to decide on others to put something on their wall, something like "moderation". For instance, allow users to moderate on anything to show up on their wall, this should be done on Photo tagging too.
I'm started feeling like Facebook is breaking people privacy.

Nigeria on stampede: 'Only venue' left

full story :

The Nigeria soccer federation said Monday it had no choice of venue for its exhibition match against North Korea at which a stampede left 15 people injured.
Taiwo Ogunjobi, the Nigerian federation's technical committee chairman, told website that "we had no choice" because "that was the only venue available to us" because "FIFA had taken control of all the stadia."
One policeman was seriously hurt Sunday during two separate fan rushes at the Makhulong Stadium outside Johannesburg, a venue that seats about 12,000 fans.
Nigeria media officer Idah Peterside said that FIFA and World Cup organizers were not responsible, adding the match "was organized by the two FAs."
Soccer's international governing body said it had nothing to do with the ticketing.
"FIFA and the OC [local organizing committee] would like to reiterate that this friendly match has no relation whatsoever with the operational organization of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, for which we remain fully confident," FIFA said in a statement.
